 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

 Genesis means beginning. Genesis opens the story of Bible. It is the first scripture. But it is not all Genesis says. Book Genesis tells us more than that. It is beyond our expectation. It is far beyond human rationality. How can I suggest like that? That’s because Genesis allow us to know the secret of birth of the World humanity have tried to discover with their rational instrument for a long time. Book Genesis proclaims to us what truthful foundation is, where we have to set our lives on, and how we should lead our lives on that standard. Jesus taught us to build our lives on Rock, not Sand. Words Genesis can provide us with that Rock, unchanged, strongly fortified and trustworthy. I pray that all of us listen to the message, eventually, find the light which Words radiate.

 Look at verse 1. “In the Beginning God created the heaves and the earth.” God was there in the Beginning. But the heaves and the earth which embrace us now was not there at that time. Look at verse 2a. “Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep. We cannot imagine how the space and the earth took form at that point. Only nothingness, abysmal emptiness and inky darkness dominated the pre-created world. No light, no sound, no warmness was there. Severe coldness, eternal loneliness and painful chaos were right there. Look at verse the rest of verse 2. “and the Spirit of God was hovering over the water.” But the Spirit of God worked there. He flied over the watery abyss like a bird. He was moving over the hopeless place with one great hope; that is God would make change it into his Masterpiece, the Heaven and the Earth.

 God is creating the world step by step. He is forming the Heavens and the Earth day by day. Look at verse 3. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” The world of full darkness hears the voice of its Master. God orders that light takes over the sovereign of darkness, hopelessness and chaos. Then darkness disappears immediately. Coldness changes into gentle warmness. Extreme chaotic universe transforms into the place in cosmos. From now on, light becomes the Lord of world. Any form of darkness cannot win over this light. It gets controlled under the invincible power of the light. Then what is the light? John1 1: 5b teaches us on this. “God is light: in him there is no darkness at all.” Yes. God himself is light. When he orders let there be light, he gave God himself to the world as a whole. He dedicated himself to create the world. He designed light-filled world; it is God-filled world. When he began to involve himself in this world, the Heavens and the Earth have been filled with the Glory of light, the Glory of God himself.

 All of us in this English Worship Service experience personally the undeniable coming of God’s glory to our life. When his light is not in our being, the power of darkness reigned over our fate. It was impossible to realize who we are, why we live and who God is. We were formless, empty and dark like pre-created world. We did not know the true hope of life. We just felt coldness, darkness, loneliness and meaningless. However, God had the great plan to recreate our being, our doing and our life through the whole level. He changed our being into his children. We are owned by God. We became the treasure he possesses. And He made our doing holy, virtuous and pleasing in the eyes of him. And he gives us new purpose of life and made us to live a whole new life. Then how could he accomplish this dream toward us? Yes. Jesus the Christ. God sent his one and only son to us. Into abyss, he came down here as light. Yes. He is the light of the world. It was first step to change us. But it was the big step. All changes initiated from this point. It’s because, since we accepted him as the light, our existence has been changing dramatically, continuously and eventually.

 I was really man of darkness. I sincerely like to wear clothes colored black. I used to enjoy gloomy songs walking on rainy street. I do not believe that the world I live in now is kinked from the regular state. The darkness of the world looks perfect normal, and a soul who embraces a hope like Christians seemed truly childish. I could not get rid of the sorrow of my being. I could not help but accepting it silently, painfully and desperately. I trusted in only consolation smoking and drinking provides with. But, around the period, the spirit of God had been hovering over the surface of dark filled days. And he prepared the way for me to turn myself back into my Creator, my Master, and Forever Father again. I was not able to change myself at all. That’s because I did not possess the light which is the origin of all energy. Yes. The light from outside one-directly was absolutely necessary for change. Only on that condition, the hope of change comes true. Who was the light of life? It was the Christ, Jesus. It was impossible to deny Jesus’ gentle, warm and humble radiation. It was huge. I could not reject him. As a result, I opened my heart to him who gave himself as a whole. It was the first step of recreation of God. It was a truly big step. It was not until he came to me, I believed that there is a hope of life.

 Light is very, very important means to creation. But it was not the end. After God involved himself into creating, he drives it with initiative, provision and love. God’s works of creation was driven by intellectual coordination of trinity; God the Father, God the son and God the spirit. His loving relationship can make the heavens and the earth true. Therefore, there is no failure in the plan of Almighty, ellohim God. Let’s look at 6, 7 and 8 “And God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water. So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. God called the expanse “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning-second day.” On second day, God unfold the enormous expanse naming “Sky.” It shows the unlimited span of Creator. When we look up the blue high sky, we come to respect our Creator. In human history, it was a normal phenomenon people respected the Absolute one for this reason. They inferred one personal surpassing character from facing up the sky and worshiped and feared of him. But by this scripture, we know that our God did it. Furthermore, our God is truly Creator and our God is the Lord of the Sky. King David sang a song. “O lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! (Psalm 8:1)” David pondered the work of God by seeing the heavens. And he discovered the Glory of God. I prayed that all of us have the pure spirit of David like this and we can feel the Creator anywhere under the sky; his masterpiece.

 Look at verse 9, 10. “ And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.” On third day, God set up the land and the sea. It would be the place where the living creatures live. He prepared something to need for living one by one. Look at verse 11, 12. “Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.” After he built fundamental place for vegetation, he allows all vegetation grows and produces fruits according to their kinds. Every single creature has their own trait. Some flowers colored red, some blue, and other green. Some plants produces apple, some orange, and other cherry. God permits them to have their own being and character. And it was pleasing to the heart of God. God’s creation is dynamic, various and very creative. It is beyond our expectation. We used to imagine that God is so conservative that he did not like diversity. But it is not true. God is the Lord of all and he can handle everything uncertainty caused by diversity.

 Let’s look at verse 14, 15. “And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years.” God the Creator set the Sun and the Moon on the sky. And it takes a charge of being the mark of time’s flowing. By the harmony of the Sun and the Moon human can realize that time passes on. We, human being inherently possess biological clock within the body. It was delicately tuned to the change between the Sun and the Moon. If the system breaks down, we would be inflicted by some diseases. However, when we follow the nature law God established on the concept of time, we can live a healthy life. When the time to sleep, we have to sleep. And When the time to wake up, we have to wake up. It is the law of God on terms of time. Look at verse 20 and 24. “And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” “And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: living stock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” Through this point the works of God’s creation is achieving to the climax. All variety of living creatures is given the life by God’s word. Under the water, dolphin, octopus and seehorse and so on appear. On the land, elephant, lion, and frog and so on appear. Over the sky, eagle, sparrow and butterfly and so on appear. Look at verse 22. “God blesses them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” God blessed all creatures, all animals, all vegetations. And he ordered that they increase in number on the earth. He upholds the world and he supports all livings to live their own real life.

 The process of God’s creation is perfect. In the ecological view, God’s created world is perfect itself. Scientists tried to figure out the secret of integrity of this nature. But it is still something of mystery. Only God knows of it. But we know that who created the world perfect is perfect himself. Yes. God is perfect. He never fails. He designed the heavens and the earth perfect. Moreover, he upholds and sustains the world perfect. Therefore we can trust him to the fullest for that reason.

 I believe that God would success to recreate my world perfectly till the end. He changes me step by step. Following to his plan, not my schedule, he is filling me with dynamic experience, various people and a full of pleasure. I had one sheep. He did not accept the fact that the integrity of God’s creation. He feared to reveal himself to the light of Glory. He said that “No one can handle my life except myself.” Yes, right. No one have some rights to invade his own life. However, he did not know that the gift God want to give to us is recreation not something of control. If he had known today message, and he accepted the truth of God’s integrity showing through this creation, he might live a new life now. But he did not allow it. Living a fully new life is pleasing in the eyes of God. And God wants to bless us, not curse us. God supports to increase in number. He had a great plan about our life. God is good, God is perfect, God is trustworthy. Therefore we have to throw ourselves into his arm. And we have to believe he will change our life of darkness into splendid, beautiful and blessing one. I prayed that all of us change ourselves into new living creature on the hand of Creator our God.
