영어성경읽기 - GENESIS 12 ~ 22 New Document 아브라함과 함께 하신 하나님
창세기 12장 부터는 드디어 하나님께서 구체적인 한 사람 아브라함 부르시고
그를 통하여 구속사를 전개해 나가십니다.
여호수아 24:2,3을 보면 아브라함의 아버지 데라 가문의 종교적 배경이 나옵니다.
Joshua said to all the people, "This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:
'Long ago your forefathers, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor,
lived beyond the River and worshiped other gods.
But I took your father Abraham from the land beyond the River
and led him throughout Canaan and gave him many descendats...
아브라함에게 주신 처음 약속과 명령을 다음과 같습니다.
"Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
"I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you;
I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.
아브라함은 친척을 다 떠나지 않고 조카 롯을 동반하였습니다.
만약을 대비한 것이었겠지요. 그러나 하나님께서 그 인생 여정에 함께 하시며
온전히 하나님의 방법으로 약속의 자녀를 주시고 약속을 성취해 가십니다.
이후 아브라함이 처하게 되는 여러 상황 가운데 하나님께서 어떻게 그를 도우시고
처음 약속을 구체화 하시며 발전시켜 나가시는가 다음 표를 통해 살펴보겠습니다.

arrived at the site of the greate tree of Moreh at Shechem, where the
Canaanites had been lived.
"To
your offspring I will give this land."
Built
an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
13:15 - 17
Lot
had parted from Abraham.
"All
the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.
I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, …"
Moved
his tents and went to live near the greate trees of Mamre where he built an
altar to the Lord.
15:1 - 6
Fall
into fear after being involved in the war owing to his cousin Lot.
("I
am your shield, your very great reward.")
1. "A son coming from your own body will be your heir."
2. Tooking Abraham outside, "Your offspring shall be countless like the
stars of the heaven."
Insisted
Eliezer his faithful servant would be his heir.
But when God gave his word, believed and was credited as righteous.
17:15
According
to Sarah's suggestion, got Ishmael through Hagar.
God had been kept silent over 13 years.
1.
"I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase
your numbers."
2. Your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many
nations."
3. "The whole land of Canaan, where you are now an alien,
I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendats after
you..."
4. "I will bless Sarah and will surely give you a son by her."
Laughed
and said to himself, "Will a son be born to a man 100 years old? Will
Sarah bear a child at the age of 90? "
But afterward, believed and obeyed God's command and circumcised.
22:15 - 18
God
tested Abraham to sacrifice Isaac as a burnt offering.
1.
"I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the
stars in the sky…"
2. "Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their
enemies"
3. "And through your offspring all nations on earth
will be blessed, because you have obeyed me."
아브라함이 처음 약속을 받은 것이 75세 때,
그리고 약속의 자녀 이삭 한 사람을 얻은 것이 100세 때였습니다.
본토 친척 아비 집을 떠나라 하셨지만 처음엔 롯을 동반하기도 하고,
이방 땅에서 두려움에 사로잡혀 아내를 누이라 속이기도 하고
또 초조한 마음에 아내의 말을 따라 여종을 통해 서자 이스마엘을 낳기도 하는 등
많은 실수와 허물이 있었고 현실을 하나님의 약속과 멀어 보였지만
그러나 힘들 때마다 도우시고, 약속의 말씀을 주시고 확신을 주시는 하나님으로 인해
아브라함은 위대한 믿음의 사람, 모든 믿는 자의 조상이 됩니다.
연약함과 허물을 참으시고 오랜 세월 baby sitting 하시며 약속을 이루시는 하나님을 찬양합니다.
한 걸음 한 걸음 하나님을 좇으며, 오직 하나님 한 분을 지극히 큰 상급으로 얻은
순수하고 슬기로운 싸나이 아브라함 할아버지께 박수를 보냅니다.
우리 가운데, 섬기는 캠퍼스 가운데, 이런 믿음의 조상들이 굳건히 서기를 기도합니다.
