2006년 보츠와나 선교 보고(정 디모데)
아래의 글은 보츠와나 정디모데 선교사님이 보낸 선교보고 입니다. 읽고 계속 기도해주시기 바랍니다. (한글, 영문 두개로 되어 있습니다. ) ------------------------------------- 2006년 보츠와나 선교 보고(정 디모데) 요절: 열왕기하19:14,15a “히스기야가 사자의 손에서 편지를 받아 보고 여호와의 전에 올라가서 그 편지를 여화와 앞에 펴놓고 그 앞에서 기도하여 가로되” 올 해 하나님께서 많은 은혜를 주셨습니다. 저희에게 보츠와나 대학생들을 보내시고 섬기게 하셨습니다. 데보라 선교사는 케슬린 자매 한 사람을 꾸준하게 섬겼습니다. 그리고 꾸준하게 캠퍼스를 심방하여 여러 자매들을 피싱하였습니다. 친구의 친구들이 나아와서 9명의 자매들과 말씀 공부를 하게 되었습니다. 그중 몇몇 자매들은 자신의 성경을 사서 말씀을 공부할 정도로 영적인 소원이 있습니다. 저희들은 죠하네스벅 센타 여름 수양회에 참석하였습니다. 케슬린 자매와 형제 2명을 초청하였습니다. 하나님의 은혜로 저는 주제 2강 십자가 말씀을 맡았습니다. 그런데 많은 부담감을 안고 한 달 동안 말씀을 묵상하고 리허설을 하였습니다. 이를 통해 자신의 생명을 드려 죄인들을 위해 끝까지 십자가를 지신 예수님을 새롭게 베우게 되었습니다. 그리고 그동안 용서치 못한 사람들을 용서하고 보츠완 캠퍼스 사역과 물질 자립의 십자가를 끝까지 지고자 하는 믿음을 배우게 되었습니다. 그리고 자신의 문제를 극복하고 기쁨과 적극적으로 캠퍼스에 나아갈 수 있었습니다. 수양회 때 체포 형제가 대표 소감을 발표하면서 자신의 죄 문제를 회개하고 예수님을 따르고자 기도하였습니다. 수양회 이후 케슬린 자매는 마음을 더 열고 저희들과 더 인격적인 관계를 맺게 되었습니다. 그리고 1년 동안 섬겼던 케와미 형제를 새롭게 만나 말씀 관계성을 회복하게 되었습니다. 그리고 그의 룸메이트가 주일 예배에 함께 참석하였습니다. 보츠와나 캠퍼스는 주말이 되면 술집이 되어버립니다. 많은 학생들이 맥주를 마시며 쾌락을 추구합니다. 그들은 정부 보조로 편하게 공부합니다. 그러나 그들은 목자없는 양같이 방황하고 있습니다. 이들에게는 목자가 필요합니다. 하나님께서 여러 형제 자매들을 보내시고 섬기게 하셔서 감사합니다. 특히 많은 자매들을 말씀 공부에 보내어주셔서 감사합니다. 이들 중 케와미 형제와 케슬린 자매가 리더들로 굳게 설 수 있기를 기도합니다. 하나님께서 태권도 사역과 정착가운데도 은혜를 주셨습니다. 현재 30명 수련생들이 있습니다. 수련생 수는 계속 증가하고 있습니다. 가장 시급한 것은 태권도 컴퍼니를 통해서 work and residence permit을 만드는 것이었습니다. 태권도 컴퍼니는 케냐 consultant를 통해 만들었습니다. 그런데 permit 신청을 위해서는 태권도 컴퍼니가 스쿨로 등록되어야했습니다. 이에 필요한 서류가 30여개나 되었습니다. 저는 두 번째 시도 후 포기하고 싶었습니다. 그런데 세 번째 서류를 만들어 제출했을 때 하나님의 은혜로 등록되었습니다. 그런데 퍼밋을 신청할려고 했을 때 컴퍼니가 정식으로 등록되지 않았다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 케냐 consultant가 컴퍼니 이름만 등록시키고 거짓 정관과 서류들을 그의 컴퓨터로 만들었습니다. 이 사실을 알았을 때는 이미 그는 도망가고 없었습니다. 저는 참으로 황당하였습니다. 그런데 하나님께서 좋은 사람들을 보내주셔서 12일 만에 빨리 회사를 등록할 수 있게 하셨습니다. 그리고 퍼밋을 신청하기 위해서는 은행 구좌에 천 만원 정도 있어야했는데 두 한인들로부터 빌리게 하셨습니다. 또한 안암센타의 기도와 물질 지원을 통해 저희들의 영육을 돌보아주셨습니다. 이제 퍼밋 결과를 기다리고 있습니다. 하나님께서 순적하게 퍼밋을 허락하시고 저희 가정이 보츠와나에 정착하며 캠퍼스 복음 사역을 힘 있게 감당할 수 있도록 도와주실 것을 믿습니다. 저는 이렇게 1년 이상 오래 동안 기다리면서 자기 의를 버리고 오직 하나님만 의지할 수밖에 없었습니다. 내 계획과 생각과 뜻대로 되는 일이 없었습니다. 오히려 상황은 기대한 바와 정 반대로 가는 것 같았습니다. 하나님께서는 때마다 2006년 요절 요한복음 11:40절을 기억하고 붙들게 하셨습니다. “네가 믿으면 하나님의 영광을 보리라.” 때때로 눈에 보이는 것이 아무것도 없었습니다. 그러나 주님께서는 제가 믿을 때 하나님의 영광을 보리라고 약속하시고 믿음을 갖도록 도우셨습니다. 그리고 하나님께서 보여주실 영광을 기대하며 믿음으로 기도케 하셨습니다. 이때 하나님께서 그의 영광을 하나하나 보여주셨습니다. 또한 여러 사람들을 만나면서 보츠와나를 배우게 하시고 보츠와나 대학생들의 목자로 빚어가셨습니다. 2007년에는 제가 모든 기도제목을 하나님 앞에 들고 나아가 더욱 기도에 힘쓸 수 있기를 기도합니다. 2007년 기도제목 1. 10명 주일예배 초청 2. 케와미 형제와 케슬린 자매가 충성된 리더들로 서도록 3. 캠퍼스안에 Bible study와 주일 예배 룸을 얻도록 4. 태권도 사역을 통한 자립 한마디: “그 앞에서 기도하여 가로되...” --------------------------------------------------- 2006 Botswana mission report(Timothy Chung) Key verse: 2Kings 19:14,15a "Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord. And Hezekiah prayed to the Lord." This year, God gave us much grace. He sent Botswana students to us and gave us grace to serve them. Missionary Deborah served one sister Cathline constantly. And thanks to her faithful visit to campus, she could fish many girl students for the Bible study. Friends of friends came to the Bible study and now she has nine students for the Bible study. Some of them had spiritual desire and bought their own Bible. We took part in Johanesburg summer Bible conference, inviting sister Cathline and two brothers. By grace of God, I took charge of the message of cross, the second main message. But burdened so much, I have meditated the word and rehearsed the message repeatedly for one month. Through this, I learned again Jesus who sacrificed his own life and bore his cross to the end for sinners. I also could forgive those whom I have not forgiven and learn faith to carry on my cross for Botswana campus mission and self-support to the end. And I could overcome my own problems, going to the campus positively and joyfully. At the conference, brother Thsepo shared representative testimony, confessing his sins and praying to follow Jesus. After conference, sister Cathline opened her heart more and came to have more personal relation with us. And I met brother Kewame whom I had served for one year and restarted 1:1 Bible study with him. And his roomate participated in our Sunday worship service. Botswana campus became a bar during weekend. Many students drink beer and seek pleasures. They study in comfort with government support. But they are wandering without shepherd. They need shepherd. I thank God for sending several students and giving us grace to serve them. Especially, I thank God for sending many girl students. I pray that brother Kewame and sister Cathline grow as leaders. God also gave us grace for Taekwondo business and our settlement in Botswana. Now there are 30 Taekwondo trainees. The number is increasing. The most urgent is to make work and residence permit through Taekwondo company. Taekwondo company was made by help of a consultant from Kenya. For permit application, Taekwondo company must be registered as an institution. It required more than 30 documents. After trying twice, I was tempted to give it up. But when I submitted three times, it became registered by God's grace. But when I tried to apply permit, I came to know that the company has not been registered. The consultant from Kenya had registered just the name of company and made false memorandum and documents by his computer. When I knew that, he already ran way. I was upset so much. But God sent me some good persons and made company registered fast in twelve days. And for permit application, I needed more than 10,000USD in my bank account. God helped me borrow it from two Koreans. And through prayer and material support from Anam center in Korea, God took care of us spiritually and physically. Now we are waiting for permit. I believe that God will grant us it and help my family settle in Botswana and do campus work powerfully. While waiting so long more than 1 year, I must cast away my righteousness and rely on God alone. Nothing went according to my plan and thinking and will. Contrarily, situation seemed to go the other way. God has reminded me of John 11:40, 2006 key verse, "Didn't I tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" Sometimes, nothing was seen. But he promised that if I believed, I would see his glory and taught me to have faith. And he helped me expect to see his glory and pray by faith. And he showed me his glory one by one. And he made me meet many Botswana people, learn Botswana and grow as a shepherd for Botswana students. In 2007, I pray to come to God with all prayer topics and make all my efforts to pray. Prayer topics for 2007 1. To invite 10 students in Sunday worship service. 2. That brother Kewame and sister Cathline grow as faithful leaders. 3. To gain a room for Bible study and worship service in campus. 4. For material independence by Taekwondo business. One word: "He prayed to the Lord." |
